Wow! This reminds me of the week after my Dad passed when that huge ice storm hit Rochester. Such a mixture of exquisite beauty and dangerous destruction. We had nothing but rain here...amazing what a 25 minute drive and a little lower elevation can do.
I am a retired teacher. While I loved teaching, I think I love being retired more. I don't know how I had time to work. My days fill up so quickly. I have many interests: my husband and family, friends, art and photography, my koi pond, gardening and writing.

CONVERSATIONS WITH MY FRIEND
My friend and I can talk for hours. We'd often miss our turn or linger over lunch catching up. We'd talk about people we knew, our families and even politics, but we rarely became philosophical. Lately though casual conversation will often turn to a more soul searching question. At the time. I make up an answer off the top of my head, but then spend additional hours considering the meaning of the question and a more personal answer. I don't know if it is age, health or closeness that prompts these inquiries, but I thought I would share them with you as they come up.
